Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago's Verdict on Corona's Case
As we all know, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago is one of the finest and brave senator in the Philippine History. No wonder a lot of people admire her though some doesn't like the way she think.
Recently, she made a very tough decision on Chief Justice Renato Corona's case and gave her verdict as "Not Guilty". And because of this, some got annoyed with her and her verdict.
On my opinion though, I find her amazing the way she delivered her speech. She pointed out a lot good stuff as to why she came up to that decision. One of the highlights of the hearing was, when Senator Enrile is trying to cut her off because she's been talking a little bit longer than the expected time, but then she said, "I thought I was unlimited". I was surprised and she never stopped amazing me. She's such a brave woman. No wonder why she is now a member of International Criminal Court.
